Last full day in Puerto Rico

So dad will be coming home tomorrow and decided to head back to Old San Juan to take some more pictures. I of course packed the bunnies for the trip.

I had not made it inside del Morrol, which is the old castle at the point of the city. I have been working with the National Park Rangers for the over flight of the castle with the Thunderbirds. Jenny Martinez is one of the Park Rangers that has helped.

Since this is an old castle there had to be some cannons around. Here is one. You can see that they have been weathered for a few hundred years.

The bunnies had fun posing for this one.

The castle had a number of floors. The bottom one was just above sea level. While I was down there a cruise ship came by. Maybe we can take a cruise down here. It would be a fun way to make it to the island.

It will be nice to make it home tomorrow. I need a good home cooked meal. Eating out gets dull and expensive.

I love you tons and will see you soon.

Bunnies Day Off

Joseph and Jessica,

After flying for the last three days we finally had a day off. So what did we do? We went on another airplane ride. The guy we are working with here in Puerto Rico owns a few of his own planes. So he had someone fly us out to a small island that is called Culebra. It is in-between the islands of Puerto Rico and St. Thomas.

We had flown over the island the last three days for the Airshow and just had to go and see the beach that you see with the arrow from the ground.

So here is the Airplane that we flew over on.

So when we landed this is what we saw. I have to say that bunnies had smiles on their faces.

So it was time to sit down (Ok lay down because the wind was blowing pretty hard) and soak up some sun. Lucky for the bunnies they don't need sun screen because of their fur. Dad on the other hand used SPF 70 every half hour to try and keep the sun rays at bay.

So after a few hours in the sun it was time to pack up and head back to the hotel. Here is a parting shot as we wait for the taxi.

Joseph and Jessica and Janie - I am going to have to bring you back to the same beach one day. You would love to play in the water and in the sand.

I miss you tons and can't wait to see you this Wednesday.

Life on the ROAD

So Joseph and Jessica got two little bunnies for Easter. A few days latter I was out on the road for work. I thought it would be fun to take the bunnies on this trip and take a few photos of them. Well, the crew I am flying with loved the idea also. Now I have the bunnies with me everyday and try to find places to take their photos.

Hopefully, this will be the start of a fun tradition. I will try to post as many photos when I am away from the family in the hopes that the little ones will follow along and see some of the things I have done.

So here it goes:

Joseph and Jessica here are your bunnies at 25000 feet in the air somewhere over the US. We were refueling the US Thunderbirds on their way to Puerto Rico.

When we made it to the Hotel this was the view out on the balcony. Somewhere out there is the ocean.

The next day we had a few hours off so we hit the road for some hiking to a waterfall that is in a rain forest here in Puerto Rico.

When we were done there we continued to hike up to the top of the mountain were we found a castle turret. The two ladies are from the Public Affairs office at Altus and are on the trip to document our jets refueling the Thunderbirds.

We will be flying tomorrow and doing more Air Refueling with the Thunderbirds. I will see what the day will bring and see where you can find the bunnies.

I love all of you and hope you are safe and being good for mom. Please give her a kiss and a hug for me.

Love - Dad
